Do Sönd test on animals?

We're absolutely 100% against animal cruelty. Sönd does not conduct or commission animal testing on any of its products or ingredients, or by way of any of our laboratories or suppliers. Animal testing for cosmetics is illegal in the European Union since 2009 and additional laws were adopted in the UK in 2012.

Can I use Sönd products whilst pregnant?

None of our products contain ingredients at levels which should cause concern during pregnancy or while trying to get pregnant. In fact, research has been conducted to show the beneficial effects of silica during pregnancy, helping to maintain silica and calcium levels that tend to decrease during that time. If you have any concerns at all about any of the ingredients we advise you to consult your GP or pharmacist and show them the ingredient list before using the product. Do Sönd products contain Gluten?

The entire Sönd range is free from gluten and all traces of gluten.

Once I opened the products how long can I use them for?

Each product’s shelf life can be found on its box and the bottle in a symbol with the number of months indicated on the inside of an open jar. The expiry date of Sönd Energising Mineral Supplements can be found on the bottom of the bottle.

Is there any SPF in your products?

Our products do not contain SPF ingredients and we would recommend the use of additional sun protection if you are outside for long periods.

Is Sönd's packaging recyclable?

The packaging we use are almost entirely recyclable.

Can I get an allergic reaction from Sönd products?

Although allergic reactions to Sönd products are very rare, if you think you have suffered an allergic reaction, please stop using the product. It is possible to be allergic to pretty much anything including essential oils and other natural ingredients. If you suspect you have a sensitivity we would strongly recommend that you test a sm all amount of any new product on the inside of your elbow. If you experience any redness or tingling you should return the product for a refund.

Can children use the topical products?

There are no harmful ingredients for children in any of the Sönd products, so they are absolutely safe to use on children. The products have also been used with children before to treat issues like eczema.

Where does the name Sönd come from?

It comes from the German word 'besonders', which means special. We took the word 'sond' from that.

What certification does Sönd hold?

We are registered on the European Commission Cosmetic Product Notification Portal, and our supplements are approved by UK Food Safety Authority.
