Night cream for acne
Having acne prone skin means that some common skin care ingredients can cause irritation, blocked pores, spots and breakouts. Our night cream has been developed with skin like yours in mind. It contains nothing but skin friendly ingredients including our unique alkalising silica salts to combat the causes of acne and non pore blocking plant oils that hydrate and nourish the skin.
Night cream for combination skin

The alkalising silica salt blend in our night cream also hydrates and strengthens the skin as you sleep.
Night cream for dry skin
Dry skin needs extra support to stay moisturised and hydrated but at the same time, it doesn’t need to be overloaded with pore blocking oils. We’ve used argan, hemp and coconut oils in our night cream as they won’t block the pores or cause oiliness and irritation. Our blend of alkalising silica salts also deeply nourishes the skin, tackling the causes of dryness and promoting healthy, hydrated skin.
Night cream for rosacea
Supporting the needs of skin that’s prone to the redness, inflammation and irritation of rosacea can be tricky. Our gentle night cream is ideal for sensitive skin. Formulated with argan, coconut and hemp oils, it gently hydrates and supports the skin overnight without blocking the pores or causing greasiness. Our silica salt blend also helps to tackle the causes of rosacea deep within the layers of skin.
Night cream for eczema
Some common skin care ingredients can make having eczema feel worse, causing unnecessary redness and inflammation. Our gentle night cream contains skin loving argan, hemp and coconut oils that hydrate and soothe without blocking the pores or causing greasiness. Our blend of alkalising silica salts also help to support the unique needs of inflamed skin.
Night cream for oily skin
It’s tempting to skip the moisturiser when trying to manage oily skin. But doing so will only make the skin overcompensate and produce more oil. The gentle blend of coconut, hemp and argan oils in our night cream supports even the oiliest of skin, keeping it moisturised but not greasy. Our uniquely alkalising silica salts also support the skin, keeping it healthy, hydrated and happy.
Frequently asked questions:
Are night creams necessary?
Night creams tend to be slightly heavier than day creams. This is because the skin can tolerate a more intense type of moisturiser overnight. As the skin repairs itself, it can use the targeted ingredients in night creams such as ours for nourishment and support. That’s why we would always advise using a night cream.
When to start using night cream?
Night creams can be used by anyone of any age. Our skin begins to age from our mid 20s, so we’d advise anyone from this age onwards to develop a good skin care routine and include the use of a night cream. This will help to protect the skin from ageing as well as from irritation, inflammation and sensitivities.
How to apply night cream?
Night cream should be applied after cleansing to remove dirt, pollution, oil and makeup as a final step in your skin care routine. Using clean fingers, dot a five pence piece sized blob of night cream around your face. Then massage it into your face, neck and decolletage using gentle, circular motions.
Can I apply night cream after toner?
Both day and night moisturisers should be applied after using a toner. Toners are designed to be used after cleansing to remove any residual cleanser and dirt, and to deliver targeted ingredients to the skin. They should be left on the skin, and moisturiser applied over the top.
Should I use night cream every night?
We would always recommend using night cream at night, after cleansing and removing makeup. Cleansing can strip the skin of its important oils and hydration, and applying a nourishing night cream will help to replace them.
Can I wear night cream during the day?
Generally speaking, night creams such as our Overnight Replenishment Night Cream tend to be a little heavier and richer than day creams. This is because the skin produces less oil at night and can therefore tolerate a heavier cream. Wearing night cream during the day can cause the skin to look and feel greasy, so we’d recommend using our Sidekick Day Cream during the day.
Can I use day cream at night?
For the same reasons as above, we wouldn’t recommend using a day cream at night. Our skin can benefit from a more enriched face cream as we sleep, helping to keep it happy, healthy and hydrated.
What's the best night cream?
Your skin will tell you which is the best night cream for you. All individually beautiful, we each have our own unique skin that reacts differently to different products. Sometimes it’s a case of trial and error, and giving skin care products at least a month to see how they work for you. Or you could try our Overnight Replenishment Night Cream. We developed it to suit all skin types, from oily and acne prone to dry and stressed out.
Ingredients
Aqua (Water)
Aqua, or purified water, helps to dissolve all of the ingredients in our moisturiser and plays a major role in keeping all of the water and oil based ingredients mixed together. This helps to keep our night time cream smooth and creamy and easy to apply.
Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil
Cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, or more commonly, coconut oil, is rich in saturated fatty acids which nourish and support the skin from deep within its lower layers.
Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil
Derived from the seeds of the cannabis plant, cannabis sativa seed oil is rich in antioxidants that help to defend the skin against free radical damage and ageing. This oil is non pore blocking and helps to calm irritated, red, inflamed and stressed out skin.
Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil
More commonly known as argan oil, argania spinosa kernel oil is derived from the fruit of the argan tree native to Morocco. It has skin nourishing and hydrating properties and is rich in antioxidants which help to shield the skin from free radical damage.
Pentylene Glycol
Produced as a by-product of the sugarcane left over from food production, pentylene glycol helps oil based ingredients bind to the water in our night cream and helps to give it a thick, creamy consistency.
Cetearyl Olivate
Derived from olive oil, cetearyl olivate is a type of plant based fatty alcohol that acts as an emulsifier in our night cream. It helps the oil based and water based ingredients mix together, giving our moisturiser a rich, creamy texture.
Sorbitan Olivate
Sorbitan olivate is another fatty alcohol derived from olive oil. Like cetearyl olivate, it’s an emulsifier. It helps the oil and water based ingredients in our night cream mix together without splitting and contributes to its rich and creamy texture.
Coco-Caprylate
Coco-caprylate is a plant based ingredient that’s derived from the fatty alcohols and fatty acids found in coconuts. It acts as an emollient in our night cream, helping to promote soft, smooth skin.
Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate
Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate is derived from plant based amino acids and fatty acids and acts as an emulsifier in our night cream. It helps the water based and oil based ingredients mix together so that they don’t separate and make our moisturiser split.
Hydrogenated Olive Oil
Hydrogenated olive oil is olive oil that’s been turned from a liquid to a semi-solid. This makes it ideal for our nourishing night time moisturiser, making it feel slightly thicker than our day cream. It's also rich in antioxidants which help to protect the skin from damaging free radicals.
Sodium Bicarbonate
Often referred to as baking soda, the small quantity of sodium bicarbonate in our night cream helps to keep the pH stable. At the low concentrations that we use, it's entirely safe for use on sensitive skin.
Silica
Our hero ingredient silica gives our moisturiser its alkalising properties. It’s found naturally in granite, sandstone and clay. This alkalising effect supports and nourishes the skin at a cellular level. Silica also helps the other beneficial ingredients in our night cream absorb into the skin.
Magnesium Chloride
A naturally occurring substance, magnesium chloride makes our day cream more viscous and easier to apply uniformly over the skin.
Potassium Citrate
A form of citric acid that’s found naturally in citrus fruits, potassium citrate is a preservative and an alternative to parabens. It helps to prolong the shelf life of our night cream so that you can benefit from it for longer.
Calcium Citrate
Like potassium citrate, calcium citrate is a form of citric acid. It too is a gentler alternative preservative to parabens and is suitable for use on even the most delicate and sensitive skin.
Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil
Olea europaea (olive) fruit oil helps to moisturise and hydrate the skin. It acts as an occlusive, which means that it forms a protective barrier on the skin that helps to prevent moisture loss.
Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil Unsaponifiables
Olea europaea (olive) oil unsaponifiables are derived from ripe olives and this ingredient in our night cream has an emollient effect, helping to smooth and soften the skin. It’s also rich in squalane which helps to deeply nourish and hydrate the skin without making it feel greasy.
Tocopherol
Known more commonly as vitamin E, tocopherol is a type of antioxidant. It helps to neutralise damaging free radicals that if left can cause skin irritation, inflammation and damage.
Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil
Sunflower seed oil, or helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil is a type of emulsifier. It allows the oil based ingredients to mix with the water based ingredients without separating or causing our night cream to split. It’s also rich in omega 6 fatty acids that calm irritated skin and keep it hydrated and calm.
Xanthan Gum
A natural thickening agent, xanthan gum gives our night cream a rich, creamy texture that is easily applied to the skin. Xanthan gum is produced as a by-product of the natural fermentation process of certain bacteria and is completely safe for use on the skin.
Parfum (Fragrance)
We only ever use natural, plant based fragrance sources, giving our night cream a gentle, delicate perfume.
